Butter Cake

Ingredients

1/2 c soft butter
2/3 c milk
1 1/2 c fluor
2 eggs
1 c sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking soda

Blend first 5 ingredients together on electric mixer, until light and fluffy, add eggs and vanilla and mix just until blend,  Por into a prepared 9" square baking pan.
Bake al 350ºF for 40 to 45 minutes. When cool, ice with desired frosting.

Maple Cake

Prepare butter cake as directed, but substitute 1 tsp maple extracr for vanilla. When cool ice with Mapla Nut Frosting.
