Banana Cake

1/4 c butter
1 1/2 c sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 c sour milk
1 c mashed ripe bananas (2 large)
1 1/2 c fluor
1 tsp baking powder
Add chopped nuts or pecans

Beat butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla until light and fluffy.  Dissolve baking soda in sour milk, add to batter and beat well.  Add bananas alternately with sifted dry ingredients.  Add chopped nuts or pecans, mix just until blended.
Pour into a prepared 9" square baking pan. Bake al 350º for 45 to 50 minutes. Ice with banana icing or chocolate icing.
