Oatmeal Bread

1/2 tsp salt
1 egg beaten
1/4 cup warm water
2 3/4 cup fluor
3/4 cup boiling water
3 tbsp butter or shortening
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/4 cup molasses
1 pkg yeast

Stir together boiling water, oats, butter, molasses, salt.  Cool to warm.  Disolve yeast in warm water.  Add yeast, egg and half the fluor to lukewarm mixture.  Beat for two minutes at medium speed on mixer, scraping sides often.  Add remainig fluor and blend in with spoon until smooth.  Spread batter in greased loaf pan 9 x 5 x 3.  Let rise about 1 1/2 hours, until batter reaches 1 inch from top.
Bake at 375ºF about 15 minutes.
